By 1876, the Yates family installed a cider press into the existing water-powered process and began producing delicious Michigan cider. It then became known as Yates Cider Mill. The Museum has guided tours of the 1840 Van Hoosen Farmhouse and 1850 Red House, along with the exhibits, videos (including the Museum's award winning PBS movie, "Pioneer Family on Van Hoosen Farm"), Museum store and Hall of Fame, in the Dairy Barn.
